Hey there! I’m Courtney (May) Westendorf.
I am obsessed with Tim Hortons & cowboy boots. People say I’m always smiling (and it’s true!) My husband is the love of my life & we are incredibly blessed with 6-year old twin girls. They exhaust me daily but provide me with endless inspiration. My girls love to explore everything from a flower to a mud puddle and it reminds me to take notice of those ordinary moments. I’m also a 3rd generation farm girl. When I’m not behind the camera I feel most at home working alongside my family on our hay and cattle farm in Smiths Creek. I love sharing stories and photos from that part of my life because it made me the person I am today. My husband and I recently bought our own 10 acres and are starting the adventure of building a house and our own farm. We plan on breaking ground May 2018. That will be a whole other story altogether and I can’t wait to share our progress.
I am the most light obsessed person you will ever meet. I see it in ways most don’t. You can ask my husband, he is pretty sick of being scared by my sudden gasps thinking something is wrong when in reality I just saw a gorgeous sun flare coming through the window! My style of shooting is candid and natural. I am always looking for the in-between authentic moments when your personality shines. I specialize in documenting bumps to babies, families, and farms. I seek out the golden light and strive to incorporate it beautifully into every photo- from stunning sunbursts to a golden glow. Of course, I never mind overcast or stormy skies either. I just need my camera and you and promise to always capture your connections organically.
